Monstruos: The Monsters of Latin America brings terrifying creatures to life at Halloween Horror Nights 2023 in Universal Studios Hollywood.
Monstruos: The Monsters of Latin America
¡Ten cuidado! With La Muerte as your guide, you and your scream squad must try to survive three terrifying legends: the blood-sucking Tlahuelpuchi, owl-faced witch La Lechuza and bone-ripping El Silbón.
Review
Monstruos was one of our favorite houses, with some of the best scares and larger-than-life monsters. Just the size of these creatures is enough to make you uneasy.
When passing from room to room, you’ll sometimes have to push through bones, human intestines, or pigs. Pushing through bodies in the Universal Monsters: Unmasked house prepared us, but such creepy “stuff in face” does add another layer to the experience. They make it more immersive.
When in the room with pigs and intestines, you get the smell of bacon. Some creatures are in boo holes higher than others, reaching their claws out for you from all over. The giant La Lechuza animatronic figure is beautiful, especially as its wings extend. The best scare of the house was a giant El Silbón head at the end.
There was some repetition because there were only three monsters featured. But the smells and “SIF” made up for that.
