REVIEW: Only ONE of Disney’s Three New Treats is Absolutely Perfect

It’s Halloween time in the Disney parks and we are CELEBRATING!

It’s time for Halloween at Disneyland!

We’ve already been to Oogie Boogie Bash and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, but there’s so much more spooky fun to be had. There are plenty of seasonal treats to eat, and recently, we stopped by Disneyland Park to try out a few of them — come along with us!

Rest in Chocolate Sundae

First up, we’re heading to Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor for the Rest in Chocolate Sundae. It’s $10.79 and made with Rocky Road ice cream in a chocolate-covered waffle cup with chocolate cookie crumbles and gummy worms. It’s all topped with a chocolate tombstone.

Rest in Chocolate Sundae

This was a really rich and chocolatey treat! The cookie crumbles add a nice crunch, along with a little vanilla flavor if you get a bite that has creme filling. The gummy worms were really fruity and sweet.

Ice cream and theme parks just go together.

We actually had ZERO complaints about this one! Yep, zero. It’s so delicious and it’s a must-try for chocolate lovers and ice cream fanatics. A truly perfect sundae!

A yummy spooky treat!

Make sure to stop by and try this during the Halloween season! You’ll have no regrets!

Trick or Treat Sweets Churro

If you head over to the Churros & Lemonade cart in Critter Country, you’ll find the Trick or Treat Sweets Churro for $7.25. It’s rolled in shortbread sugar, drizzled with caramel and chocolate, and topped with TWIX.

It’s churro time!

This is honestly pretty good — one of the better-flavored churros we’ve tried! It has a nice mix of flavors and textures, but it might be better if they’d have skipped the shortbread sugar and just done the sauce and candy bar toppings.

This thing is COVERED in toppings

It’s pretty heavy and rich, but if you’re a TWIX fan, this is a MUST!

Vampire Alien Macaron

For our last treat, we’re making a stop at Alien Pizza Planet to grab the Vampire Alien Macaron for $7.99. It’s a green alien macaron filled with salted caramel buttercream, chocolate ganache, and brownie bits.

He’s a cutie!

And boy, is this thing cute! He has red eyes and little vampire teeth! Unfortunately, these macarons are an absolute disaster to eat. The black frosting they use to make them turns to black ink in the heat and makes a big mess. However, the flavor was pretty good.

Look at those little vampire teeth!

The brownie center was our favorite part — rich and delicious. We recommend grabbing a fork to chow down so that it’s easier to get to the middle. We also detected a hint of coffee taste, which was surprising considering it wasn’t listed on the ingredients.

Completely demolished

The caramel is light and nice, but the brownie center is the real winner. Don’t forget your napkins before you try this bad boy!

Those are three of the new Halloween treats we tried in Disneyland Park recently! Stay tuned to DFB for more snack reviews and updates from around Disneyland Resort. We’re here to help you plan an awesome trip!
