REVIEW: This NEW Disney World Treat Is SMALL But MIGHTY

Few seasons make us quite as giddy in Disney World as fall does.

Happy Halloween!

Spooky season is in full swing and we’ve seen Halloween decor, snacks in Magic Kingdom, and merchandise all around the parks and hotels. If you’ve been waiting for even MORE spooky season treats you’re in luck because new fall treats have landed and we’re bringing you with us to check them out! Today’s treat review takes us to the French Riviera! Well… almost.

Disney’s Riviera Resort is home to Le Petit Cafe, and that’s where we’re heading to grab the Pumpkin Napoleon! This sweet treat is made with pumpkin diplomat cream, spiced diplomat cream, and dark chocolate, and you can grab it for $8.99. Diplomat cream is sort of like a lighter pastry cream that’s been cut with whipped cream, and to us, this dessert sounds incredible. Pumpkin, chocolate, and cream? Say no more.

Pumpkin Napoleon

Right away, we were blown away with how ADORABLE this little pumpkin treat is! Aside from the treat being cute, we did take note that it was pretty small. We were wondering if this little ol’ thing could live up to its price of nearly $9. Well, there’s only one way to find out! As soon as we cut it open, we realized that it was pure pumpkin mousse, rather than pumpkin cake AND mousse. The mousse has a tendency to have a richer taste, so that explains the smaller portion size! Now, let’s taste it.

It looks delicious!

Wow! Right away, the dominant flavor is the pumpkin spice, of course. The mousse had a really nice texture that paired nicely with the flaky pastry that coats the treat. For a small snack, it was SUPER rich — definitely sharable. We noticed that it does fall apart super easily, so make sure you have some time to sit and indulge in this one if you’re hoping to grab it.

VERY pumpkin-y and rich.

Should you make the trip to Le Petit Cafe to give this limited-time treat a try? Well, if you love pumpkin spice desserts and don’t mind the texture of mousse, then you would definitely like this. However, if you’re not the biggest fan of pumpkin treats, rich desserts, or the mousse-like texture, you might wanna skip this one. While we found that the size of the snack was justified for how rich and decadent the treat is, we’re still not sure if $9 is justifiable, so that’s something to keep in mind as well.

That’s all for now, but rest assured that we’re trying ALL SORTS of spooky treats around Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for more!
