REVIEW: We Know You’re Wondering if This Disney Pretzel Is as Good as It looks…It’s BETTER.

We know you took one look at the picture of this pretzel and are dying to know whether it’s actually as good as it looks. Well, we’ve got good news for you, my friend: it’s BETTER.

Atomic Pretzel

Come with us to try the UPDATED version of the Atomic Pretzel in Disneyland!

Yep, we said “updated” — we’ve had different kinds of Atomic Pretzels in the past, like the sweet apple-bacon one from last November and the Carne Asada one from earlier this summer. We LOVED both of those, so how does this new version stack up?

Pym Test Kitchen

This Atomic Pretzel is topped with Hoisin BBQ Pulled Pork, Slaw, Honey Mustard, Green Onions, Black Sesame Seeds, Pickles, and Cornichons. You’ll find it at the Pym Test Kitchen in Avenger’s Campus at Disney California Adventure, and it costs $15.49, which is a pretty steep price for a single pretzel. But this isn’t just any old theme park snack — look at it!!

It looks AMAZING

There are SO many toppings on this bad boy, including plenty of sauce. Between the BBQ sauce and the honey mustard, our pretzel was slipping and sliding all over the plate.

Slippin’ and Slidin’

It’s definitely a messy snack — make sure to grab some napkins!

Let’s dig in

The pulled pork is very rich and flavorful, and the BBQ sauce is pretty sweet. The slaw was tangy and fresh, which balanced the smoky, sweet flavor of the meat.

We also liked the addition of the pickle! It added an acidic, almost sour flavor to some bites.

Such a good snack

To be perfectly honest, the pretzel probably wouldn’t have been great on its own. It didn’t really have an incredible flavor, but it was a great vehicle for all of the toppings, which is exactly what it’s supposed to do.

It’s a good vehicle

All things considered, we’d absolutely get this snack again, even with the $16 price tag. Head to the Pym Test Kitchen if you want to try one, too! Don’t forget that you can use Mobile Order to skip the line at this counter service restaurant.

Skip the line!

We can’t wait to see what Disney dreams up next! Stay tuned to DFB for more updates on all the newest Disney snacks.
