Even though we’ve barely begun the Halloween season, the holidays are just around the corner at Tokyo Disney Resort. The Oriental Land Company has announced details for Disney Christmas 2023, which will take place at both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea from November 8 to December 25.
Disney Christmas 2023 Entertainment & Attractions
Disney Christmas 2023 will see the return of “Disney Christmas Stories,” a parade that portrays Christmas stories of Disney friends, featuring dancers and parade stops.
The parade is comprised of seven different stories, including one of Donald Duck dressed as Santa Claus as he spends the holiday with his nephews and Daisy Duck, a story of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse celebrating a special Christmas together, and more.
When the floats make their parade stops along the route between Westernland and Fantasyland at the Plaza, and between Tomorrowland and Toontown, bells will ring to start the party. Guests can join in by clapping along with their Disney friends to the sound of the bells. For the parade’s finale, snow will fall along the parade route.
A special holiday version of Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade Dreamlights will also be presented for a limited time.
At Tokyo DisneySea, guests can see the Disney Christmas Greeting, performing one to two times daily on the Mediterranean Harbor. During the greeting, Mickey Mouse and his friends will appear in Christmas-themed outfits and celebrate the holiday with festive music. Santa Claus will also make an appearance.
The Haunted Mansion Holiday Nightmare is also back for the Halloween and holiday seasons at Tokyo Disneyland, and will be open through January 8, 2024.
Disney Christmas 2023 Merchandise
Merchandise for Disney Christmas 2023 will be available starting November 7. Among them will be items featuring Mickey Mouse and friends wearing Christmas outfits, items featuring Li’l RingRing, keychain sets that will be available in pairs, and new hats with a design inspired by Santa Claus’ hat.
In addition, sets of nine mini cakes inspired by Disney Christmas will be available as part of the Tokyo Disney Resort Frozen Selection, so guests can enjoy the fun of the parks during the holidays at home.
Food
From November 1 through December 25, guests can enjoy special holiday menu items at both parks.
Tokyo Disneyland will offer holiday-themed, colorful menu items for the whole family. At Tokyo DisneySea, snowy Christmas-themed course meals will be offered, as well as special merchandise and souvenir food items featuring Duffy and Friends’ White Wintertime Wonders.
In addition, both parks will have hot apple ginger drinks for the first time, as well as strawberry milk-flavored tapioca drinks, and dishes with Christmas souvenir items.
Christmas-themed menu items will also be available at the Disney hotels during Disney Christmas 2023.
At Empire Grill in Disney Ambassador Hotel, dishes for the holiday season will be served from November 1 through December 14. These dishes will feature motifs of Mickey and his friends. Takeout menu items that can be enjoyed in guests’ rooms will also feature dishes exclusive for the holidays.
At Silk Road Garden in Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta, colorful dishes inspired by Christmas will be offered from November 1 through December 25.
At Sherwood Garden Restaurant in Tokyo Disneyland Hotel, guests can indulge in buffet-style dining with a variety of Disney Christmas-inspired menu items, also from November 1 through December 25.
Decorations
At Tokyo Disneyland, Christmas-themed garlands will be strung all around World Bazaar, in addition to the 40th anniversary décor already on display. In addition, a 15-meter-tall Christmas tree will be set up, complete with the resort’s 40th anniversary logo and ornaments of Li’l RingRing, a Christmas elf.
Tokyo DisneySea will also get its own 15-meter-tall Christmas tree, returning to the American Waterfront for the first time in four years. The tree will light up at night and be decorated with the 40th anniversary logo. Other locations at the park, such as Mediterranean Harbor and Waterfront Park, will be adorned with lights and other décor, and Cape Cod will have its own Christmas tree with Duffy and Friends-themed ornaments.
The five Disney hotels will also be decorated for Disney Christmas 2023, with each hotel having its own unique décor.
Disney Resort Line
New Disney Christmas day pass designs will be offered for the Disney Resort Line, and will be available at the Disney Resort Line ticket machines. Guests will also be able to collect souvenir medallions with an exclusive design themed to the holiday event.
Ikspiari
The shopping, dining, and entertainment complex near Maihama station will host a seven-meter-tall fir Christmas tree at Celebration Plaza for Disney Christmas.
Holiday songs will be played throughout the complex, with trees, wreaths, lights, and more around every corner. The shops will also have items on sale for holiday gifting, and restaurants will offer seasonal menu items only available during Disney Christmas.
In addition, the Tokyo Disney Resort Encore! The Moments exhibit will have costumes from the 2010-2011 “Christmas Wishes” event at Tokyo DisneySea on display.
