Heads up — Disney World just got even MORE expensive.

Four big changes were announced recently that could all affect your budget for your next Disney World trip. Some of these price increases are practically unavoidable, but there are a couple of ways to get around the others. Let’s dive in!

This first change falls into the “practically unavoidable” category: if you’re planning to eat at Disney World restaurants, you’ll notice some price increases on food throughout the resort.

Food Price Increases

Prices have increased at nearly every restaurant in Disney World.

Restaurants inside the theme parks, at the hotels, and in Disney Springs have all been impacted by these changes.

Some of the most notable price increases occurred at character dining restaurants, including popular spots like Chef Mickey’s, Cinderella’s Royal Table, Be Our Guest, and ‘Ohana (which only offers a character meal for breakfast).

All of the Starbucks locations in Disney World saw price increases, so buying your morning coffee in the parks might be a bit more expensive now.

Some iconic snacks like Mickey Pretzels and DOLE Whips are also pricier now.

One solution to this problem could be the Disney Dining Plan! Dining Plans return on January 9th, so if you’re visiting on or after that date, you can add them onto your vacation package.

You’ll still want to price out the Dining Plan compared to what you’d normally spend in Disney World without the plan to make sure it’s really going to save you money.

Memory Maker Price Increases

There are PhotoPass photographers all throughout the Disney World parks who will take your picture. It’s free to get your picture taken, but it costs money to actually download and save the pictures. You can pay by the download or purchase Memory Maker to pay for all those photos in advance.

Memory Maker is a package that allows you to download all your PhotoPass and attraction photos that are taken throughout your trip, as well as the photos of anyone you’re friends with on the Disney World app. You can either do this for the length of your entire trip, or for one day.

Disney just revealed some price increases for Memory Maker packages. Here’s a breakdown of the changes:

• Advance purchase (buying Memory Maker before your trip begins): $185 — was previously $169
• Regular price (buying Memory Maker during or after your trip): $210 — was previously $199
• One day (buying Memory Maker for one day only): $75 — was $69

That’s a price increase of between $6 and $16, depending on which package you choose.

Luckily, this price increase is avoidable! Memory Maker is optional, and you don’t have to add it to your Disney World trip.

You can always ask PhotoPass photographers to take your picture using your phone or camera, and then you won’t have to pay for those photos. However, Memory Maker also includes attraction photos and Magic Shots, which you can’t get with your own camera.

Parking Price Increases

The cost to park at any of the four Disney World theme parks has gone up. This includes parking at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Here’s a breakdown of the price increases:

• Standard parking (car or motorcycle): $30 per day — was previously $25 per day
• Preferred parking (car or motorcycle): $45, $50, or $55 per day (pricing is seasonal and varies by date) — was previously $45 to $50 per day
• Oversized vehicle parking (Shuttle, Limo, Camper Trailer, RV, Bus, or Tractor Trailer): $35 per day — was previously $30 per day

So is this price increase avoidable? It depends on where you’re staying during your trip.

Disney Resort hotel guests receive complimentary overnight self-parking at their hotel in addition to free standard parking at the theme parks! And if you’re staying at a Disney-owned hotel or one of the select Good Neighbor hotels, you’ll be able to use their FREE transportation to get between the hotels and theme parks instead of driving your own car.

Another group that gets to park for free is Annual Passholders.

Note that if you’re gonna opt into Preferred Parking or use one of the electric vehicle charging stations, you will still have to cover those extra fees; those aren’t included with the free perk of an Annual Pass or a resort stay.

Annual Pass Price Increases

Annual Passes went back on sale on April 20th, 2023, after being unavailable for a long time. Now, if you’re hoping to purchase a new pass, you’ll be paying more than before, as price increases have impacted all four Annual Pass tiers.

The new prices for Disney World Annual Passes are as follows:

• Incredi-Pass: $1449 (previously $1399)
• Sorcerer Pass: $999 (previously $969)
• Pirate Pass: $799 (previously $749)
• Pixie Dust Pass: $439 (previously $399)

That’s an increase of $30-$50, depending on the pass type.

Annual Passholder “Good to Go” days will begin in January 2024. On these days, passholders will be able to enter the parks without a Park Pass Reservation.

Disney notes that “the theme park reservation calendar will be updated periodically and will show Passholders select days when they may visit a Disney World theme park without needing a theme park reservation.” That means that you can see the “Good to Go” days on a rolling basis, so you won’t be able to see the whole year right away. Blockout dates still apply.
