5 Things We Never Skip in EPCOT at Walt Disney World

EPCOT isn’t a park that’s jam-packed with attractions like Magic Kingdom, but that doesn’t mean EPCOT doesn’t have a lot to offer. There is so much to do here, and that’s why, on my last trip to the park, I made a list of the five things I never skip at EPCOT, and I’m curious to know if you agree.

1. Stop and Admire Spaceship Earth

According to social media, Spaceship Earth has been deemed the prettiest girl in school, and I can’t help but agree with the statement. This is my favorite park icon; it’s unique and home to an attraction! On each trip, I make an effort to take a moment to sit or stand and admire Spaceship Earth. The best time to do this is definitely at night when it’s all lit up. It’s a breathtaking view.

I also love taking a moment if I get to the park early in the morning. I find a quiet spot off to the side and soak it all in. The music in this area makes the experience even better.

2. Enjoy Festival Food!

As we all know, there’s always a festival happening at EPCOT, and that means World Showcase is filled with food booths. I think guests who visit less often need to check out the food booths. Some of the food at these festivals are absolutely delicious, and no one should have to miss out on that.

For those of us who visit very often, the booths aren’t as exciting, but I do recommend trying something new every few visits. There are some food items that I can’t help but get at some festivals. As of right now, the 2023 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival is happening, and they have a guava cake that I love. I pick up that cake each time I visit the park during the festival. It is delicious.

3. Ride Soarin’

Soarin’ is a fun attraction that takes guests to new locations and heights. This is a must-do for me, and if I do, for some reason, have to skip this ride, I get so sad.

This attraction engages all your senses, which I think is so cool. The ride takes place in a 180-degree, 80-foot IMAX digital projection dome, and while you soar over aerial footage, you’ll be able to smell pleasant and iconic scents. The music that is paired with the ride is uplifting and adds to your adventure.

4. Ride Living with the Land

Living with the Land is next door to Soarin’, and it’s a peaceful and wonderful attraction. I ride this attraction every visit because it is a nice break from the busy park, and it is cool to see all the gardens and crops that Disney has created in this large greenhouse.

I am also a sucker for educational types of rides and shows, so I love that Living with the Land teaches guests about farming. Not only does it teach us about agriculture, but it also educates us on how to source sustainable food options.

5. Ride Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is a new attraction at EPCOT, hence why it’s something I never skip. This ride still wows me each and every time. I have been lucky enough to experience each song on the ride, and I do think the songs make a difference. In my opinion, some songs make the ride seem slower, and others make it feel faster. Maybe I am just delusional, but I swear the songs truly affect how the ride feels.

If you are a thrill seeker or a fan of the Guardians of the Galaxy, then this is the perfect roller coaster for you. It is important to note that guests who suffer from motion sickness should not ride this attraction.
