5 Ways Disney World Tickets Will Be DIFFERENT in 2024

As hard as it is to believe, the end of 2023 is near.

New Year’s Eve Fireworks

There are only 60 days till Christmas (fun tip: if you search ‘days til Christmas’ on Google, you can open a present that takes you to the ‘Santa Tracker’!). With the holidays right around the corner, the new year is soon to follow. Disney has already announced several changes coming to their tickets in 2024 and we’re here to break those down for you.

Tickets are changing in 2024. We’re going to be seeing price and logistic changes for Disney World tickets, so let’s dive into exactly what changes we can expect on our Disney trip next year.

Annual Passholder Tickets

Disney has recently announced the new prices for 2024 Annual Passholder tickets and, of course, they have increased. There are four different Passholder options that you can choose from: the Disney Pixie Dust Pass, Disney Pirate Pass, Disney Sorcerer Pass, and the Disney Incredi-Pass.

The prices for each in 2024 are:

  • Disney Pixie Dust Pass (Florida Residents)– $439 (plus tax)
  • Disney Pirate Pass (Florida Residents)– $799 (plus tax)
  • Disney Sorcerer Pass (Florida Residents and eligible DVC members)– $999 (plus tax)
  • Disney Incredi-Pass (All Guests)– $1,449 (plus tax)

So if you plan on purchasing an annual pass for the Disney parks, be ready to spend a good chunk of change, but honestly, it’s probably worth it.

Water Park Passes

Disney has added a seasonal pass for the water parks, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach (which is re-opening soon!), that is available for use now through May 24, 2024.

You can go to the water park that’s open over and over as many times as you like through May 24, 2024, for just $79 per pass, plus tax. This is a great deal and will be extra fun when Blizzard Beach is open again!

Military Tickets

Also, just recently announced are the new 2024 ticket prices for active U.S. military members (this includes all branches; Active, Reserve, and National Guard). Each year Disney comes out with the Military promotional tickets which are discounted 4, 5, or 6-day tickets.

The prices of these tickets also increase each year, but it’s nice to see the 6-day option return (it had been removed in 2023). You can add a Park Hopper or Park Hopper Plus option to your tickets as well.

We’re happy to see the return of these tickets for our active military service men and women.

Disney After Hours

Disney After Hours events are especially ticket events held in Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT. Just the other day, Disney announced their return in 2024!

After Hours at EPCOT

Prices of these tickets vary by park and date of event. You can find a full listing of prices and dates here. In general, you can purchase tickets for Magic Kingdom between $155-$175 (plus tax), Hollywood Studios $155-$175 (plus tax), and EPCOT $149-$159 (plus tax).

Park Reservations

In 2024, we’re going to see a change in the Park Reservation System at Disney World. Starting January 9th, 2024, you will no longer need to make a park reservation IF you have a dated ticket.

Tower of Terror in Hollywood Studios

If you purchase a non-date-based ticket, then you will still need to make a park reservation. Along with this change, Park Hopping is also returning to normal. So if you are required to make a park reservation for a non-dated ticket, you’ll have to go to your reserved park first then you can hop anywhere at any time. This will also change on January 9th.

Tree of Life

We hope you’re ready for all these ticket changes because they’re coming up fast! 2024 will be here before we know it.
