The 2023 EPCOT Festival of the Holidays is coming up soon, and Disney just dropped a ton of news about what we can expect!
New celebrity narrators will be participating in the Candlelight Processional, the Holiday Cookie Stroll is returning, and we know what Holiday Kitchens are coming. But, one of the most iconic parts of this festival is all the entertainment, and now we know just what we’ll get to see this year!
The 2023 EPCOT Festival of the Holidays runs from November 24th to December 30th and will be filled with food, fun, and all sorts of festive entertainment! Disney just announced what entertainment we can expect at this year’s fest, so let’s check it out.
First, the Candlelight Processional will bring new celebrity narrators to the event including Brendan Fraser and Joey McInytre! The EPCOT Candlelight Processional, a long-time fan-favorite experience, is the retelling of the Christmas story. It’s also a standing tradition that celebrities help narrate this story accompanied by a massive choir, a 50-piece orchestra, herald trumpets, and the incredible Voices of Liberty.
It wouldn’t be a holiday celebration without the main man himself — Santa Claus! The jolly icon will return to the Odyssey Pavilion from November 24th to December 24th, and you can strike a pose perfect for a holiday card.
The World Showcase Storytellers are also returning this year! We can expect to see the mischievous Barn Santa from Norway, a Chinese Lion Dancer for the Lunar New Year, Pere Noel from France, Hanukkah stories, and more.
Living With the Land is getting a holiday glow-up thanks to the holiday overlay — feast your eyes upon Christmas lights and other festive elements that are added to this EPCOT icon. It’s one of our favorite parts of this festival!
And, catch JOYFUL! A Celebration of the Season in World Showcase Plaza. This uplifting, gospel and R&B show celebrates Christmas and Kwanzaa, and we promise you’ll want to dance!
Don’t forget that you can also win a PRIZE if you participate in Olaf’s Holiday Tradition Expedition Scavenger Hunt. Just purchase a map and stickers from festival merchandise locations and start your hunt for Olafs scattered throughout World Showcase. Once you find them all, you can turn your completed map in for a prize.
We’ll keep an eye on more news about the 2023 EPCOT Festival of the Holidays, so stay tuned to DFB for the latest!
