Yes, we’re Disney World pros — we go to Disney World every day.
But we’ll admit this: We are not perfect. We’ll give you some great advice, but then sometimes, we forget to take that advice ourselves. So something that we often struggle with is ordering quick service food in Magic Kingdom. We still forget some things or still do some things that are unfortunate EVERY time. So we’re going to share our mistakes so that maybe you won’t make them, too!
Forgetting to order Plastic Cheese
Okay, you know us. We cannot have our Corn Dog Nuggets without Plastic Cheese at Casey’s Corner. But we’ll make our order and somehow forget that we have to order the Plastic Cheese, too, and then BOOM, we’re stuck with regular old Corn Dog Nuggets.
Now, don’t get us wrong, those Corn Dog Nuggets are delicious on their own, but the cheese elevates them, and yes, we will go back and order Plastic Cheese before we dig in. If anything, that is VERY on brand for us.

We order and then can’t find a table to sit at
Before you place an order at a quick service restaurant in Magic Kingdom, take a look around and see if there’s any seating. Because when Magic Kingdom is busy, there might not be anywhere to sit once you have your food. We’re guilty of this, though: We’ll place our order, pick up our food, and then we can’t find anywhere to sit and eat.
Yes, this means we’ll often just use a trashcan as a table, which is about the only real option, especially if you have relatively messy food that doesn’t travel well. Otherwise, we might just take it over to the hub and sit on the grass and eat in front of Cinderella Castle.
The One Disney World Quick Service Restaurant That’s Practically Perfect According to Just About Everyone
You’re balancing a large drink without a lid on top of a full food tray
When you order your food, you might not be thinking about how you’re going to handle all of it, especially if you’re by yourself. It gets especially tricky if you’ve also ordered a large cup of soda without a lid that you have to balance precariously on top of a food tray that’s already loaded up.
It’s even worse when you’re searching for seating and you have to carefully walk through the seating area while balancing all of this like you’re some kind of circus act. We’ve done it, granted, and, honestly, someone should have applauded us at the time because it was NOT EASY.

Not checking all your dining options
There are a LOT of places to eat at Magic Kingdom that aren’t table service restaurants. You’ll need to take a look at the My Disney Experience app just to see the full list. However, there are also some places you might not be thinking about where you can get food: like Main Street Bakery (Magic Kingdom’s Starbucks location) and Main Street Confectionery.
But wait — there’s even MORE that could complicate seeing all your quick service options. Some aren’t even LISTED on the My Disney Experience app, like the Spring Roll Cart in Adventureland. Your best bet is to do your research BEFORE you get to Magic Kingdom so you know what all your options are. Fortunately, you’ve got us!

Mobile ordering at places where your AP discount isn’t applicable
If you’re a Disney World Annual Passholder, you can get a discount on dining via Mobile Order, but only at locations that are considered dining establishments. Believe it or not, if you go to Main Street Confectionery and mobile order food, it’s not considered food, it’s merchandise, so you’ll end up paying more than if you hadn’t used mobile order.
So needless to say, you can’t use your AP discount through Mobile Order at locations like Main Street Confectionery, even if you order food.

Not using mobile order
You can save a lot of time and effort by using mobile order at all the quick service locations that offer it. Sometimes, though, we’ll still just hop in line to grab food and then wonder what we’re doing, but still wait anyway. We know better, right?
However, this also goes to WHEN to use mobile order. If you’re at Magic Kingdom on a busy day, get those mobile orders in as early as possible — you can still set the pick-up time for when you want. That’s because mobile orders can take longer on busy days, but if you already have your order in, you’re one step ahead of everyone who waited until the last minute to place their order on the app.
Disney World Mobile Order Secrets That We’ve Learned the Hard Way
Forgetting to grab utensils and condiments
Okay, we bet EVERYONE does this, but we should know better since we eat at Disney World ALL the time. But sometimes, we’ll go pick up our order and walk to our table and then realize, “Oh, wait, we forgot utensils and condiments!” Here’s the thing, too — usually the condiments and utensils aren’t too far away from where you pick up your food, so we have no idea how we still totally forget to do that.
So after you grab your food, make a mental note to pick up all those things you need: utensils, napkins, ketchup, etc., and have them with you before you put everything on the table, sit down, and get ready to chow down.
