A trip to the Disney Parks can never be complete without grabbing your favorite snack at least once, right? Sometimes, getting that special treat is just as important as getting on your favorite ride or seeing your favorite show.

While there isn’t a consensus best Disney treat, there seems to be at least one snack that Disney fans CAN’T STOP BUYING. An icon at both Disney World and Disneyland, this treat isn’t likely to see its popularity temper any time soon.
When it comes to the snacks we get at the Disney Parks, price obviously plays a factor. With a wide selection of options, this snack costs $6 (with variations that cost around $10), only helping to increase its popularity among guests. We’re talking about the famous Dole Whip, of course!

How popular is this treat, exactly? Let’s take a journey in time, back to 1986 — the time before mobile orders. We find ourselves in Anaheim, CA, after a long day of escaping the Matterhorn’s Yeti and sailing past the perils of the Jungle Cruise in the hot sun. It’s time for a tasty frozen treat and the Tiki Juice Bar is calling your name. As you cross through Adventureland or Main Street U.S.A. you see a sign up ahead next to Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room. Ah, there it is! The famous pineapple soft-serve Dole Whip!
You just can’t beat a classic.
But something is stopping you from getting this tasty tropical dessert. There’s a massive line feeding into Adventure that you can swear eventually wraps around to your hotel. Are people really that in love with this snack? YOU BETCHA!

Fast forward to today, and now you can find the Dole Whip and Dole Whip Float at The Tiki Juice Bar as well as several different flavors of whips and floats at The Tropical Hideaway at Disneyland. Meanwhile over in Florida at Disney World, the Dole Whip has become a cultural phenomenon. It feels like every time we blink Disney is releasing a new flavor or concoction. The demand will never fade and is here to stay. We’re just happy we can mobile order now without having to wait in line for what feels like years.

Want a classic pineapple Dole Whip? Done. Want a POWERADE Mountain Berry Blast Float? Easy. Maybe you want your Dole Whip to be boozed up. Yep, they can do that. Or maybe you want a Watermelon Dole Whip Taco. Odd request, but it’s been done!

At the end of the day, what will always keep people coming back for more is accessibility. Starting at around $6 and maxing at around the $15-20 range with alcohol (must be 21 years of age or older to purchase), Dole Whip remains a dessert/snack that won’t break the bank — which definitely matters when you start processing the expenses of a Disney trip overall.

Served at three different locations at the Disneyland Resort and 12 locations at Disney World, you’ll have no problem finding some iteration of this classic treat. Always be on the lookout for new offerings and don’t be afraid to try some of the more-out-there flavors! You never know, the latest Dole Whip could wind up being your favorite!
