A new sign has been installed in Living With the Land at EPCOT that matches the new style of signage throughout the park and features The Land Pavilion’s logo.
Living With the Land Sign
The sign is for the Biotechnology Lab, near the end of the attraction.
It’s green and black, with rounded corners. On the top of a green column running through the sign is the circular plant-inspired pavilion logo.
Here is a look at the old blue and yellow sign on a bronze column.
As EPCOT has been reimagined, new color-coded signs with rounded corners have been installed. The new Living With the Land sign is appropriately green as it’s in the World Nature section of the park. Signs in World Celebration — which will fully open in December — are blue, while signs in World Discovery are red.
Many new pavilion logos were also introduced during the reimagining. The Land Pavilion’s logo has thinner lines than it did before but the design otherwise remained the same.
EPCOT itself also received an updated logo with rounded capital letters. A new sign of this logo was installed on the parking plaza.
EPCOT Reimagining
EPCOT is in the final stages of a years-long reimagining that has ushered in considerable alterations and significant additions since plans were revealed at D23 Expo 2019. Future World was divided into three neighborhoods: World Celebration, World Discovery, and World Nature. World Showcase retained its name.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, a trackless dark ride that is a clone of a Walt Disney Studios Park attraction, opened in the France Pavilion at World Showcase in 2021 as part of the reimagining. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind debuted in the World Discovery neighborhood in mid-2022. Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana is the last major part of the ‘EPCOT reimagining’ and is set to open on October 16.
Zach Riddley, the Imagineer who oversaw the EPCOT reimagining, was recently promoted to Global Creative Strategy Executive for Walt Disney Imagineering.
Some elements of the reimagining have reportedly been canceled or indefinitely delayed, including the Play! Pavilion and “Mary Poppins” attraction. The previously planned festival pavilion was replaced with the new CommuniCore Hall and Plaza in World Celebration.
A new “Walt the Dreamer” statue will be installed at Dreamers Point behind Spaceship Earth.
