‘NOT THE BEES!’: Hundreds of Bees Take Over Top of Lamppost at Universal Studios Florida

A hive of bees has taken over the top of the lamppost in the New York area of Universal Studios Florida — and no, we don’t think that this is the unannounced East Coast debut of the Terror Tram… The Exterminatorz Halloween Horror Nights offering at Universal Studios Hollywood.

The gray lamppost is located in front of the Union City News Co. building facade in the New York area of the park. A Summer MusicFest ’69 banner, a decoration for the Vamp’69: Summer of Blood scare zone at Halloween Horror Nights 32, currently hangs from the lamppost. The street lamp is just a short distance away from the Revenge of the Mummy attraction.

Hundreds of bees are currently gathered at the top of the post.

These insects are not a late addition to Halloween Horror Nights 32 — they’re real. They don’t appear to have gotten into the light globe, suggesting that their hive is located inside the base of the lamp.

At the time of press, they are relatively confined to their own space at this time, but if you’re afraid of the tiny insects, it may be best to avoid this area for the immediate future.
