Can you believe it? EPCOT is almost done with its years-long transformation!
Disney announced that the EPCOT construction is set to be complete by the end of 2023, and it makes us want to reminisce about the changes, you know? We have several new attractions including Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana and now the 100th anniversary celebration is in the park with a special meet and greet, the return of Soarin’ Over California, and more. Now there’s an update about one of the new additions…but fair warning, you may not like it.
We’re heading to the France pavilion where Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure entertains EPCOT guests each day! It looks like a LOT of people are excited about this ride right now because the wait times have increased significantly.
Last week, the Ratatouille-themed attraction had a 74-minute average…but this week’s average is up to 84 minutes. There are higher in Disney World (we’re looking at you, Slinky Dog Dash), but this was the biggest change by far this week.
If you want to skip the lines at Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, you can book a Lightning Lane through Genie+ if you choose to purchase it. For those of you looking to save some cash, try rope dropping the attraction. To do that, we recommend trying to enter through the World Showcase entrance where the Skyliner station is. That way you’re just a quick walk to Remy’s and you’ll beat any people at the front of the park that are also trying to head there first thing.
Let’s see what the rest of the average wait times were like in Disney World last week.
Magic Kingdom
Starting in Magic Kingdom, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train had the longest average wait time of 74 minutes. Last week the average wait time was 76 minutes so the average has decreased just a little bit.
Next, Peter Pan’s Flight averaged 64 minutes, Space Mountain averaged 48 minutes, Haunted Mansion averaged 47 minutes, and Jungle Cruise averaged 45 minutes. Average wait times held Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at 36 minutes, Enchanted Tales with Belle at 35 minutes, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin at 34 minutes, Pirates of the Caribbean at 32 minutes, Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh at 30 minutes, followed by Astro Orbiter at 26 minutes.
After that, “it’s a small world” averaged 20 minutes, Barnstormer featuring the Great Goofini averaged 19 minutes, and Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Tomorrowland Speedway, and Magic Carpets of Aladdin averaged 18 minutes, and Mickey’s PhilharMagic averaged 16 minutes. Mad Tea Party averaged 14 minutes, and Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover averaged 13 minutes.
Prince Charming Regal Carrousel and Enchanted Tiki Room averaged 10 minutes, and other attractions like Hall of Presidents, Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse, Carousel of Progress, and Liberty Square Riverboat all tied at 5-minute average wait times.
The Country Bear Jamboree and Tom Sawyer Island were walk-ons this week.
