Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel won’t complete its transformation into Pixar Place Hotel until January 30, 2024, but you’ll be able to check out the reimagined lodging’s flagship eatery a few months ahead of that date.
Great Maple Opening at Disney’s Paradise Pier/Pixar Place Hotel Next Month
Disney has announced that the Great Maple restaurant will open at the hotel this November. The eatery will be located on the ground floor of the hotel, which will still technically be known as Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel at the time of its opening.
Disney has described the restaurant as a “modern American eatery” that will serve an “innovative menu of upscale comfort food.” It will be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Among the menu items mentioned by Disney in its recent announcement are the Cajun Shrimp & Cheddar Biscuit Benedict, Soda Pop-Braised Baby Back Ribs, Charred Cauliflower Hummus, Maple Pecan-Crusted Salmon, Market Fish, the Buttermilk Fried Chicken & Maple Bacon Doughnuts, and “a variety of inspired salads,” though no specific salads were detailed. The food will be made from scratch each day.
Several of the menu items detailed by Disney in the announcement were initially unveiled alongside restaurant concept art back in May, but a few of the dishes are new reveals. Great Maple will also have a full bar including beer, wine, and cocktails, and will be open to the public, not just hotel guests.
Great Maple will also operate the Sketch Pad Café in the hotel lobby and its Small Bytes rooftop pool bar. Sketch Pad Café will be a grab-and-go coffee shop that offers pastries and other morning treats alongside various hot drinks, while Small Bytes will serve signature beverages in addition to light snacks and meals like salads, wraps, and assorted fruit, vegetable, and cheese plates.
Though opening before the transformation is complete, Great Maple will ultimately be the primary eatery located in the Pixar Place Hotel. The lodging is a Pixar-inspired reimagining of Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, and the transformation has occurred in phases throughout the last several months. The hotel’s new lobby featuring heaps of Pixar imagery opened in May, and its Pixar-inspired pool (dubbed Pixel Pool) reopened in August. Disney shared the transformation’s January 30, 2024 completion date and a look at the hotel’s new rooms alongside news of Great Maple’s impending opening.
