Four months after the red stagecoach made its return to Frontierland in Disneyland Park, a reference to Society of Explorers and Adventurers (S.E.A.) character Jason Chandler has been restored.
Jason Chandler Reference Returns to Red Stagecoach
The red stagecoach originally returned to its post in June 2023 after a refurbishment period that started about a year ago, and can be found on the Frontierland pathway leading to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
When it first returned, its reference to Jason Chandler — a luggage tag attached to a chest on the stagecoach — did not come back with it. However, while on a recent trip to Disneyland Park, we saw that the tag was back in place. It reads, “Ship To: Jason Chandler” in an all-caps font.
Jason Chandler is a fictional character who was the founder of Discovery Bay, an unbuilt land proposed by Imagineer Tony Baxter for Disneyland. Chandler was incorporated into S.E.A. history as the organization’s president and the inventor of the drill used at Big Thunder Mountain.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad itself is said to be in the town of Rainbow Ridge. The original Disneyland stagecoach ride was, at one point, known as Rainbow Mountain Stagecoach Ride.
S.E.A. is a fictional organization, originating from Tokyo DisneySea, that connects various attractions with references across the Disney Parks.
Are you glad to see this S.E.A. reference return to its rightful place? How much do you know about this fictional organization? Let us know in the comments.
