A version of the Mickey and Friends Halloween Cavalcade returned to Disneyland Park on the afternoon of October 16 in celebration of spooky season. The cavalcade has run at the park during Halloween Time in years past, and though this year’s version is different than previous renditions, its surprise return does bring an additional festive flare to the park.
Mickey and Friends Halloween Cavalcade
The parade commences in the Fantasyland section of the park near the “it’s a small world” attraction and ultimately runs down Main Street U.S.A. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, and Chip ‘n’ Dale start the cavalcade on a festive float while donning their finest Halloween costumes. They’re the same Halloween costumes that the characters have worn throughout this year’s Halloween season at Disneyland.
The multi-leveled float is decorated with painted pumpkins and festive decor like mini coffins and bat ornaments.
Cast Members said they expect the cavalcade to run daily at 1:45 and 2:45 p.m. through Halloween.
This float is followed by a Main Street U.S.A. Fire Engine from which Pluto waves at guests. Pluto is wearing a Halloween costume of his own — a spiderweb-like collar.
Moana, Aladdin, and Genie follow the fire engine. They’re carrying brightly-colored pumpkin-shaped trick-or-treating buckets.
A green Main Street U.S.A. Omnibus follows behind the walking characters. The bus transports Merida, Geppetto, Wendy, Peter Pan, Cinderella, and Snow White; a few of the waving characters are carrying trick-or-treating buckets of their own.
The cavalcade concludes with an “Alice in Wonderland” style interaction, as Alice and The Mad Hatter wave at guests from a yellow Main Street U.S.A. Jitney. The Queen of Hearts trails behind them.

The new cavalcade temporarily replaces the Magic Happens parade at Disneyland Park, which hosted its final performance of the season on October 15, 2023. The annual “A Christmas Fantasy Parade” will return to Disneyland Park on November 10 and run through January 7, 2024, after which Magic Happens may return.
The Frightfully Fun Parade at Oogie Boogie Bash, another Halloween-centric parade at Disneyland Resort, is performed during Oogie Boogie Bash, a separately ticked Halloween celebration at Disney California Adventure that commenced on September 5. Oogie Boogie Bash runs through October 31, 2023.
