Here at Disney Food Blog, we don’t go to Disney World for the typical theme park food very often. When you have things like Dole Whip, Pongu Lumpia, and Cheeseburger Spring Rolls, it makes chicken tenders seem a little boring.

Sure, Disney World does have some good hot dogs, French fries, and popcorn. Sometimes, we even find decent pizza. Hey, we’ve even found some great burgers in Disney World, and we just discovered one that’s SUPER tasty, but we’re going to add a warning about it.

Let’s head on over to D-Luxe Burger in Disney Springs, which — we have to admit — has some pretty good burgers. Well, there’s a new burger here called the Beef Wellington Burger. It’s made with Two Pressed Signature-Blend Patties, Crispy Prosciutto, Mushroom Duxelles, Gruyère, and Horseradish Aioli on a Herbed Puff Pastry Bun for $13.99.

This burger is practically perfect in every way, EXCEPT that it’s nearly impossible to eat with your hands (which is kinda the idea behind a burger, right?). The puff pastry is very flaky, which is good, but it also means that it falls apart VERY easily. The bottom bun is VERY thin, too, so this might be a knife-and-fork kind of meal.

However, that bun is DELICIOUS and herby, with loads of flavor. The burger is thick and juicy, but it’s the Gruyère cheese and prosciutto that really take it up a notch. You can also taste the earthiness of the mushrooms, so if you don’t like mushrooms, keep that in mind. We also loved how the horseradish adds a tang and balances out the meat.

Overall, this could be the BEST burger we’ve had in a while, and if you’re looking for something a little MORE than a regular burger, this is it. We also think it’s a good value for $14 because it is very large and filling. But again — don’t try to eat it with just your hands because that is just a lesson in frustration.
