Disney’s Animal Kingdom is full of tons of amazing snacks — some of you may even say it is the best Disney World park for snacking around!
One of our favorite spots to find a quick snack or a filling meal is Flame Tree Barbecue and if you’re heading into the park soon, there are TWO new offerings you’ll want to make sure you try out on the menu!
A lot of NEW snacks and treats have arrived at Animal Kingdom — almost 20, in fact! Right now we’re taking a look at some new options at FLame Tree Barbecue, but click here to see ALL the new eats.
The first new menu item you can grab yourself is the Impossible Burnt Ends for $12.29. These are a plant-based option — yes, plant-based barbecue!
Unfortunately, we didn’t love this snack. These are tougher than other Impossible meat options we’ve had in Disney World. The “meat” is pretty chewy, and we didn’t love that. It might’ve helped if there was more barbecue sauce because these were only lightly sauced.
We definitely think there are better plant-based Impossible options in Disney World, like the “Lobster Roll” at Rosie’s All-American Café in Hollywood Studios, the customizable Tofu bowl at Satu’li Canteen in Animal Kingdom, and the Curry Spiced Pizza at Connections Eatery in EPCOT.

Now, it’s time for the moment we’ve all been waiting for: French Fries with Pulled Pork and Cheese are BACK, BABY! You can get this delightful snack for $8.49. Just look at how beautiful it is. We might cry.
We loved these fries when they were on the menu before, but they’ve been missing for quite a while. We couldn’t wait to try them again!
So are they really as good as we remember them? The short answer — YES. These fries are LOADED with toppings — so many that we had to use a fork to eat them. Disney certainly doesn’t skimp on the cheese and pork!
It’s a very filling option and, in our opinion, well worth the price.
The barbecue sauce on the pork adds a smoky and slightly sweet flavor that breaks up the cheese flavor. The pork is also smoked perfectly and is nice and tender. Yum, yum, and YUM.
We’ll definitely be back to get these fries again, probably many, many times.
WE KNOW – there are SO many great snacks at Disney World! How do you choose (we don’t want to choose but will blow our budget on Day 1 otherwise)? We’ve got you covered! We have reviewed nearly EVERY snack available at Disney World, and we’ve written a series of DFB Guides about them! Check out our DFB Guide to Walt Disney World Dining + Snacks Bundle for all the details you need to plan your snackin’ and spending. You can even download them to your smartphone – it’ll be like we’re right there with you in the parks!
