Among the new offerings that made their debut at Disney’s Animal Kingdom today, October 11, is the Stuffed Pancake Sandwich. We visited the park this morning to give it a try.
You can find this item at Drinkwallah, where we got ours, as well as Pongu Pongu, Trek Snacks, and at select outdoor vendors.
Stuffed Pancake Sandwich – $8.99
with sausage, guava paste, egg, and cheese
We were put off by the promotional image for this sandwich, but had to try it anyway.
The pancake bun portion of this sandwich is very dry, so be prepared to have a sip of water or some other beverage while you’re eating.
As far as the contents within the sandwich, there’s a nice spice to the sausage at the bottom of the bun, with a decent amount of egg on top.
The guava paste with cheese in the middle is faint in flavor. There’s only a light amount included, so if you’re not the biggest fan of guava, you should be fine. On the other hand, if you really enjoy the taste of guava, don’t expect too much from this sandwich.
We would not return for this and we do not recommend it. Head over to Kusafiri Coffee Shop & Bakery and try their new breakfast offerings instead.
