Finding the right drinks in Disney World can be rough, especially when it comes to deciding if you should spend your money on the newest cocktails to hit the menu.
Sometimes you have to come out of the parks in search of some of the best drinks at lounges and resorts in Disney World, but where do you go when you just don’t have the time to leave? Don’t panic, we tried out a few new cocktails inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios to see if they could make the cut.
Our journey took us out to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to the Tune-In Lounge. If you’re not totally familiar with this hole-in-the-wall lounge, it’s because the entrance can be a little bit hard to find, despite the neon sign pointing you to the door.
You can find this one situated right next door to 50’s Prime Time Cafe, and some people even mistakenly think that you can’t access it unless you’re dining in the restaurant.
However, that’s simply not true! You’re welcome to go inside even if you’re not dining at the Prime Time Café.
Once we made our way into the lounge we glanced over the menu card for the latest offerings to see what we should try out next. There were two drinks on there that the bartender said were brand-new!
We opted to try out the Indigo Hibiscus first.
This one is made of Empress 1908 Gin, Bols Blue Curaçao Liqueur, Minute Maid® Premium Lemonade, Orgeat (Almond), Lemon, and Hibiscus Grenadine and is priced at $16.
If you’re feeling a bit of deja vue looking at the Indigo Hibiscus that’s because we’ve seen it before under a different name (and with a glow cube). The Magical Beacon Cocktail from Disney World’s 50th anniversary has been rebranded (minus the glow cube) as the Indigo Hibiscus. This one we felt was on the sweet side with a lot of floral flavor. We also felt like this one was very gin forward but not too piney. Overall, we found it to be bright and refreshing but nothing special.
Then it was time to make our way to another new offering, The Tune-In PB&J Cocktail!
This one is made of Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey, Bols Blackberry Brandy, and Baileys Irish Cream Liqueur, topped with a Maraschino Cherry, and is priced at $16.
We loved this one! It was super heavy on the peanut butter whiskey which makes it very creamy and smooth. Our reporter who tried this one doesn’t typically drink whiskey and still really enjoyed it. Overall, we felt this one was very balanced and had a hint of the blackberry flavor to give that PB&J vibe against the powerful peanut butter whiskey.
We enjoyed the new drink offerings at the Tune-In Lounge even though we’ve already had one of these “new” offerings previously. Sometimes it’s kinda fun to rediscover new offerings that have a familiar flair to them and we really got that out of the Indigo Hibiscus and felt like The Tune-In PB&J Cocktail was a great spin to compliment the lineup.
