Take a bite out of the new Vampire Stitch Cake available at Kona Island at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. The Halloween treat is available through October 31, 2023.
Vampire Stitch Cake – $7.99
Chocolate cake with ‘raspberry ice cream cone’ buttercream
Appearance-wise, this is a cute dessert, but almost identical to Stitch treats we’ve had at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort before. It could easily be overlooked as a Halloween item, as only small vampire teeth and the black fondant collar of a cape indicate this is a vampire Stitch.
As far as taste, this is a fairly unremarkable sweet and slightly tangy dessert.
There is a lot of thick frosting and fondant on top of the chocolate cake. They are tasty but overwhelming.
The fondant is chewy, but it melts as you eat.
The chocolate cake inside is moist and serves as a nice base for the raspberry filling. There is only about a tablespoon of raspberry buttercream. Still, it makes itself known among the other flavors. And it tastes exactly like a raspberry soft-serve.
There are also a few pieces of ice cream cone in the soft and fluffy buttercream, which is a fun addition and adds a small crunch.
All the flavors work well together, we just wish the fondant wasn’t so thick. If you’re looking for a sugar rush and like raspberry soft-serve and chocolate, you’ll love this cake. But if those aren’t your go-to, or you have texture sensitivities, then you might not like this.
