FOX 35 Orlando first reported that the Monorail was stuck at 9:50 a.m. on October 31, 2023. Passenger Kris Lenk shared photos and videos from aboard the Monorail and after he was evacuated. Guests were still being evacuated over an hour later.

Lenk told FOX 35 Orlando, “There was a loud bang explosion, and then we kind of saw a big flash of light. After that, the monorail slowed down.” He also said he smelled burning rubber and a little bit of smoke.

The explosion sound, smell, and smoke are explained by the sudden flat tire. According to Disney, no guests or Cast Members have reported injuries due to the incident.

Monorail Yellow is the train that’s stuck near EPCOT. This Monorail had a major refurbishment in late 2021.

Monorail transportation between the TTC and EPCOT will not be available until the Monorail can be safely moved, which may not be for several hours, if it happens today at all.
