It’s getting a little complicated to use Genie+ in Disney World right now.
Or at least, it’s getting difficult to predict just how much you’ll have to shell out for Genie+ in Disney World right now. Prices have remained relatively steady for the past few months, but with the holiday season coming up — all bets are off. Here’s what you need to know about Genie+ if you’re heading to the parks soon.
Using Genie+ is a little complicated right now in Disney World, and it’s likely that won’t be changing anytime soon. With the holiday season coming up, it’s likely that prices will skyrocket on days when the parks are especially crowded since Genie+ is based on demand. It looks like we might already be seeing the first signs of this, as prices were all over the place in Disney World this week.
On Sunday, October 8th, 2023, we saw the highest Genie+ price since July 2023 at $29 for the multi-park and Magic Kingdom options. EPCOT was priced at $18, Hollywood Studios was $22, and it cost $16 to use Genie+ for the day in Animal Kingdom. Not only that, but multiple Individual Lightning Lanes sold out early in the day.
It’s possible Genie+ was priced higher due to the Indigenous Peoples’ Day holiday on Monday, but then something interesting happened.
By the time Monday, October 9th, rolled around, Genie+ prices actually went down. Multi-park and Magic Kingdom were priced at $27, with EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom costing $19, $24, and $17, respectively. We were expecting prices to stay the same or even increase, but that wasn’t the case.
The trend seemed to continue for the rest of the week. On Tuesday, October 10th, and Wednesday, October 11th, Genie+ was priced the same as on Monday. But on Thursday, October 12th, the price changed yet again.
In fact, it went down! Multi-park and Magic Kingdom cost $25, EPCOT was $18, Hollywood Studios was $22, and Animal Kingdom was $16.
Prices then stayed the same on Friday, October 13th (SPOOKY!), which begs the question — what is going on with Genie+ pricing in Disney World right now? We’ve seen a roller coaster of different costs lately, which can make it hard to prepare for your trip. Just make sure you check the My Disney Experience app before you head into the parks for the price on the date of your visit.
We’ll continue to keep an eye on Genie+ pricing in Disney World ahead of the holidays, so stay tuned to DFB for more!
