Disney World undergoes a BIG transformation when the holidays roll around!
Each theme park and hotel are decorated for the festive season, and you can find all kinds of new activities to celebrate the occasion. Let’s check out five BIG ways that Disney World changes for the holidays.
Magic Kingdom
In Magic Kingdom, holiday decorations are taking over the park!
There are wreaths and garlands all down Main Street, U.S.A.…
…and the huge Christmas Tree is officially up.
We’re expecting even more decor to arrive soon, so stay tuned for more updates.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios
In Hollywood Studios, the Christmas decor is a bit more subtle (for now).
Right now, the stars along Sunset Boulevard are the only festive decorations, but we’re expecting the Echo Lake Christmas Tree to appear any day now.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Animal Kingdom was one of the first parks to get in on the festive cheer, with decorations going up even before Halloween.
We spotted the beautiful holiday lanterns on Discovery Island…
…along with the colorful lanterns in Asia!
We can’t wait for the Merry Menagerie to appear later on in the year!

Disney World Hotels
One of our favorite things to do in Disney World during the holidays is to visit the gigantic gingerbread creations at the various hotels throughout the resort.
The gingerbread house at Grand Floridian Resort is just about done and will officially open on November 8th.
Disney shared that the new gingerbread display at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort is a replica of the hotel’s iconic lighthouse, and Imagineers used the actual blueprints of that lighthouse to craft the display.
The holiday carousel coming to Disney’s Beach Club Resort is going to be themed to Ducktales this year!
These aren’t the only gingerbread creations at the hotels — click here for more details and a full list of the displays!

Disney Springs
The Christmas Tree Stroll is returning to Disney Springs this year!
This event is a scavenger hunt throughout Disney Springs, where you track down various Christmas Trees, which are all decorated with different Disney themes.
The trees are usually super ornate and beautiful, and we love this event.
We’ll be watching for more holiday updates from Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for all the latest news!
