BAD NEWS If You’re Heading to Disney World on These 4 Days in 2024

When you’re planning a Disney World trip, there’s a lot you need to remember!

Which hotels are closest to the parks? Where should you stand to get the best parade views? And when should you actually plan your visit?! If you’re heading to Disney World in 2024, these days, in particular, could be a nightmare for you.

runDisney events bring a whole lot of fun, fitness, and people to Disney World. Being able to race your way through Disney parks with friends and other runners can be unlike any other experience. With the 2024 race season coming up, there’s a lot to prepare for, and that includes road closures!

Disney World has added a warning to the website advising guests of future road closures and traffic restrictions for upcoming race weekends. For the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, watch out for these closures:

  • January 6th, 2024 — 3AM to 10AM (for the Walt Disney World Half Marathon)
  • January 7th, 2024 — 3AM to 12:30PM (for the Walt Disney World Marathon)

The closure information has also been announced for the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend:

  • February 24th, 2024 — 3AM to 7:30AM (for the Disney Princess 10K)
  • February 25th, 2024 — 3AM to 10AM (for the Disney Princess Half Marathon)

If you plan on driving to Disney World during these dates, keep these closures in mind and follow your GPS and road signs for the most updated information.
