Fireworks will be launched at Magic Kingdom tonight — Monday, November 12, 2023 — between 11:30 p.m. and 2 a.m. Walt Disney World announced the news in the Walt Disney World Cast and Community Facebook group on Sunday afternoon.
Magic Kingdom Launching Fireworks Between 11:30 p.m. and 2 a.m. Tonight
The Walt Disney World Resort shared the news in an image with the following text:
Tonight into Monday, Nov. 13, we will be launching fireworks at Magic Kingdom Park between 11:30 p.m. and approximately 2 a.m. We apologize to our neighbors and Guests for this late-night inconvenience. Happy holidays!
The hours listed by the Walt Disney World Resort stretch from normal operating hours into early Monday morning. Magic Kingdom is set to close at midnight on November 12.
These fireworks will seemingly be in addition to the Happily Ever After nighttime spectacular that is typically performed at Magic Kingdom each standard night. The Walt Disney World website still lists an 8 p.m. showtime for Happily Ever After on November 12.
Walt Disney World did not share a reason for the late-night launch of fireworks, but it may be related to the filming that’s been taking place at Magic Kingdom throughout the past several days. Crews have been filming the Disney Parks holiday specials that traditionally air on ABC each winter throughout the weekend; a daytime performance of Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade was filmed for the network’s Christmas Day broadcast on November 12.
