Pin Trading is a well-loved pastime among Disney park-goers.

While it’s been around for a while, the rules surrounding it have changed quite a bit over the past few years. After the COVID-19 closures of 2020, Cast Member lanyards were set aside in favor of pin trading boards across Disney’s parks. Lanyards have slowly started to return, but now a new rule has been put in place that could affect your experience again!
Disney recently shared that pin trading, outside of the use of a lanyard, will only be permitted in Disneyland Park near Westward Ho Trading Company from park opening until 3PM.

Going forward, visitors will not be able to use benches or any other structure to display pins and must remain with their items at all times. They will also only be permitted one trading bag for pin trading bag, 14″L x 12″ W x 6″ H or smaller, and are not allowed to use decorations such as lights, signage, or displays.
