Disney recently concluded its centennial anniversary “Disney100 Decades” merchandise collection with the launch of its 2010s set. The new line, which features items from films like “Frozen 2,” “Toy Story 3,” and “The Avengers,” has slowly worked its way into Walt Disney World Resort since its release, and we recently found pieces of the collection at select stores throughout the resort.
The items are available at several retail locations across Walt Disney World Resort; specifically, we found these items at Discovery Trading Company at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and at World of Disney at Disney Springs. Not all stores carry items from the collection, and those that do may or may not carry the entire set. Most items from the entire Disney100 Decades Collection are available on shopDisney.
Judy Hopps Plush – $34.99
Judy Hopps jumps into the Disney100 Decades Collection in the form of an adorable plush. The protagonist of the 2016 film “Zootopia” appears in her police officer attire, complete with her Zootopia Police Department hat and badge.
The 16-inch plush features embroidered detailing on Judy’s face and paws.
It, like all prior plushes in the collection, comes in a mesh drawstring bag that features Disney100 Decades Collection branding.
We found this plush at Discovery Trading Company. It’s also available on shopDisney for $29.99.
“Zootopia” was released on March 4, 2016, earning $341 million at the domestic box office and over $1 billion worldwide. The feature is Walt Disney Animation Studio’s third highest-grossing domestic film of all time, and a sequel is currently in development.
Though the Judy Hopps plush being available at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is likely more coincidental than anything, its presence does serve as a reminder that a “Zootopia”-inspired 3-D show will one day be replacing It’s Tough to be a Bug! in the theater beneath the Tree of Life, the Disney’s Animal Kingdom icon. The attraction, which was announced by Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products Chairman Josh D’Amaro at Destination D23 2023, will feature an Officer Clawhauser animatronic similar to the one previously revealed for Shanghai Disneyland’s upcoming Zootopia expansion.
‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Loungefly Backpack – $88.00
The immensely popular “Star Wars” franchise receives its first representation in the Disney100 Decades Collection with this Loungefly backpack. The bag is themed to the series’ sequel trilogy, particularly 2015’s “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” which served as the franchise’s return to theaters after a 10-year absence. “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” was also the first entry produced by Disney following the company’s 2012 acquisition of Lucasfilm.
The tiered backpack features the film’s three primary protagonists across its front.
Poe Dameron stands atop his X-wing on the top of the bag. He holds his helmet on his knee as he looks at the scenic mountains of Ajar Kloss, which is the home of a Resistance base. Silhouettes of X-wing starfighters appear against the clouds, adding shades of darkness to the otherwise green-heavy image.
A scene from the film’s climax appears on the middle pocket, as the image depicts Finn engaged in a lightsaber ‘duel’ with Kylo Ren on Starkiller Base.
The bottom part of the bag features an image of Rey on her desert homeworld of Jakku. She stands on a rock alongside BB-8 as she overlooks a fallen Star Destroyer. An X-wing flies into the scene from the bottom of the frame; it’s slightly covered by the “Star Wars | Loungefly” plaque in the bag’s lower right-hand corner.
The back of the simulated leather bag is black and features the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” logo at its base.
The color wraps around its sides, which feature two slip pockets. The tiered pouches on the front are closed by gold-colored zippers.
The interior of the bag is lined with the illustrations seen on the front of the backpack fashioned as film posters. The repeating pattern features each work in its entirety.
We found this item at World of Disney. The backpack is also available on shopDisney.
“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” was released on December 18, 2015, and earned over $930 million domestically throughout its theatrical run. The film grossed over $2 billion at the worldwide box office and remains one of The Walt Disney Company’s highest-earning films of all time.
The “Star Wars” sequel trilogy concluded in 2019 with the release of “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.” Daisy Ridley will reprise her role in an upcoming “Star Wars” film directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.
