If you know a lot about Disney, it’s likely you know about the Disney Visa Credit Card.

This card, like other brand-specific credit cards, allows you to save money on Disney-related purchases and can be great for some guests. However, is getting this credit card really worth it, especially if you already have a few others? Here’s when we think the Disney Visa Credit Card both is and is not, worth it.
Worth It
If you do a lot of Disney shopping online, or in the parks, the card is absolutely worth it for you, because you can save 10% on select purchases at shopDisney.com when you use your Disney Visa Credit Card! It may not sound like a lot, but that absolutely adds up and can get you some big savings.

Since you can also save on Disney vacations to the United States parks, we also think the card is worth it if you book at least one Disney vacation a year. You can save money on your hotels, at restaurants, on your merchandise, and get special perks while on your vacation with the Disney Visa Credit Card, so that alone may be worth it for you!

Lastly, if you’re local to the parks and visit often to dine, the card may be worth it for you because you can get 10% off select dining locations most days at Disneyland and Disney World! Once again, it may not seem like a lot, but any money saved is money back in your pocket (that’s how money works, right?).
Not Worth It
On the opposite side of the equation, the Disney Visa Credit Card may not be worth it if you only go to Disney parks occasionally. The savings you get at the parks, along with the special perks, aren’t things you can take advantage of from home, which means you’re missing out on taking advantage of them most of the time.

Additionally, if you’re not a big fan of Disney merchandise, or don’t find yourself buying it often for yourself and/or others, the card may not be the best fit. Again, you have to look at the perks the card offers and see how much use you would really get out of them. Otherwise, it’s just another credit card in your wallet taking up space.
