Disney’s Animal Kingdom is preparing for the winter holidays with more Merry Menagerie decorations, as well as Diwali decor in the Asia section of the park and Christmas lights in DinoLand U.S.A.
Merry Menagerie Photo Op & Decorations
Near the Disney’s Animal Kingdom entrance is the Merry Menagerie photo op featuring an arctic fox, squirrel, and bird in front of a snowy backdrop.
A snowflake made of intricate animal carvings is at the corner.
According to the PhotoPass photographer at this photo op, the Disney’s Animal Kingdom Christmas tree should arrive at the park entrance before the end of the week.
We’ve already reported on various Merry Menagerie lanterns and figures installed on Discovery Island.
We saw some of the lanterns illuminated during our Wednesday morning visit.
There are various white bird figures on tree-like stands.
Merry Menagerie is a roaming puppet show that will return to Disney’s Animal Kingdom for the 2023 holiday season.

Diwali Decorations
Diwali decorations now hang across the sidewalk outside Feathered Friends in Flight in the Asia section of Animal Kingdom.
Diwali is a Hindu festival, which will be celebrated on November 12 this year.
The decorations include marigold garlands and colorful lanterns.
DinoLand U.S.A.
DinoLand U.S.A. has light-up Christmas decorations, including this dinosaur standee on the queue cover for Donald’s meet and greet.
Three dinosaurs are depicted caroling.
They sing “Fa rawr rawr rawr rawr rawr rawr…”
String lights are wrapped around the DinoLand water tower and its support structure.
And lights have been added to the giant dinosaur skeleton at the main entrance to DinoLand.
