We hope you’re not tired of the holidays yet because it’s only just begun!
Golden Oak Outpost
Tonight we’re live from the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party of 2023 trying all the food, checking out the merchandise, and telling you everything there is to know about this year’s event. There are so many exclusive snacks to try, and we’re hitting them all — come with us to try the two new snacks at Golden Oak Outpost!
Both of these snacks are totally new this year and can only be bought during the party.
Prices
The first is the Orange Gingerbread Shake (non-alcoholic), which is an orange cream slushy layered with gingerbread cookie crumbles and topped with whipped cream, and gingerbread spice. The shake costs $8.49.
Orange Gingerbread Shake
Unfortunately, we did NOT like this shake. At all. It has a very strong artificial orange flavor that reminded us of an orange Tic Tac.
Orange Gingerbread Shake
The warmth from the cinnamon hits you a little later on the back of your tongue, and we thought it was a weird combination with the orange. The aftertaste was a little bit bizarre and lingered for a long time.
Orange Gingerbread Shake
We could totally see the vision for this treat: A Christmas-y orange creamsicle milkshake sounds fantastic. Unfortunately, it just didn’t come to life here.
Orange Gingerbread Shake and Cake
We also grabbed the Gingerbread Cake layered with cream cheese frosting and dulce de leche ganache topped with a gingerbread man chocolate piece. You can get it for $5.99.
Gingerbread Cake
This treat was much better in our opinion! The cake was light, fluffy, and moist.
Gingerbread Cake
The cream cheese frosting was great as well. It was thick and creamy and held the treat together well.
Gingerbread Cake
The gingerbread flavors added some nice spice that we really enjoyed! We got a little bit of the dulce de leche flavor in between bites too, which was sweet and delicious.
Gingerbread Cake
The little gingerbread decoration on top is white chocolate.
