In previous years, Making Spirits Bright Marketplace, available during the Festival of Holidays at Disney California Adventure, was the marketplace to stop at for those looking for wine. However, the marketplace seems to be taking a new approach this year, instead offering cocktails and small, savory bites.

*NEW* IMPOSSIBLE Chicken Curry Bites – $7.50
with Lemon Raita and Coriander Chutney
The IMPOSSIBLE chicken curry bites are packed with flavor, from the curry breading on the “chicken” to the chimichurri sauce. And as per usual, they taste exactly like chicken — making it hard to tell it’s IMPOSSIBLE meat substitute. We recommend this.
Pumpkin Layered Cheesecake – $6.50
Layers of New York-style Cheesecake, Pumpkin Gooey Cake, and Graham Cracker topped with Spiced Chantilly and a Chocolate Decoration
The name of this dish says it all — it is a cheesecake that is layered with pumpkin pie on top. This means guests will be able to dive into the best of both worlds when eating this treat.
The dish melds one traditional dessert with another traditional holiday dessert, all in one bite. It’s light and creamy on the cheesecake layer, with just enough tang to satisfy. The pumpkin pie layer is thinner so as not to compete with the cheesecake, but still stands up as a good spoonful.
The spiced Chantilly on top is just an added little sprinkle that makes the dessert, even more, holiday-appropriate. Overall, we enjoyed this dessert, and it really brought out the holiday spirit in all of us!
Tiramisu Yule Log Cocktail – $17
Vodka, Hazelnut Liqueur, Oat Milk, Tiramisu Syrup, and Chocolate Bitters garnished with Chocolate Shavings
For those looking to sip on a drink similar to a white Russian while roaming Disney California Adventure, this would be the drink for you. However, the Tiramisu Yule Log Cocktail is definitely more decorated than a classic white Russian in terms of presentation, as you can see below. It also possesses a bit more chocolate influence.
That’s not to say there’s anything wrong with it, as it’s a well-made drink, but it does feel a little underwhelming compared to so many other unique and amazing offerings here, from the cocktails at other booths.
*NEW* Chocolate Mint Stout Shake – $16
Garage Brewing Marshmallow Milk Stout, Coffee Liqueur, Crème de Menthe, Horchata Cream Liqueur, Vanilla Ice Cream, and Chocolate Syrup garnished with Cookie Crumbles
The stout shake in one word: STRONG. It has milk stout and two different types of liqueurs and those are almost all we could taste. The mint is strong as well, but we could barely taste the chocolate. It’s a good value if you’re looking for an alcohol-heavy beverage.
The Festival of Holidays will run at Disney California Adventure from November 10, 2023, to January 7, 2024.
