Mickey and Minnie are busy baking at the BoardWalk Deli gingerbread display!
And the real chefs at the BoardWalk Deli are baking up some delectable wintry pastries as well! We stopped by Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Resort to try a sweet treat– the Frosted Croissant Roll.
We stopped by the BoardWalk Deli over at the BoardWalk Inn where they are serving up a couple of festive pastries. Here you can find the Frosted Croissant Roll for $6.99 and the Peppermint Brownie Cheesecake for $5.49.
We decided to go for the beautifully blue Frosted Croissant Roll.
The frosted croissant roll is here and it’s EVERYTHING!

This may appear to be a basic croissant that just has some pretty blue frosting and snow-like sprinkles but it is so much more. It is filled with a hot chocolate marshmallow filling!

We REALLY liked this treat! The croissant was soft and flakey, just as you would like a croissant to be. Inside the rolls, you’ll find bits of doughy layers making it a very yummy pastry. The outside reminded us a lot of a sticky and crispy cinnamon roll.
The filling is luxurious like you are eating something from a very fancy bakery or specialty chocolate shop. The chocolate is rich and a bit on the darker side. It’s more like a sauce in the way that it’s not too thick. The marshmallow filling was creamy, sweet, and thicker than the chocolate sauce which made them a great pair.
This is more on the sweet side with the chocolate and marshmallow filling. We’ve had other croissants here before with fruit filling that were a lot less sweet, but this is still amazing. And if you are a hot chocolate and marshmallow fan, you would definitely enjoy it. We would recommend trying it or any version of it if they have one while you’re here!
Make sure you’re on the lookout for all the holiday treats around Disney World! And stop by the BoardWalk Deli if you’re looking for a tasty pastry.
