We’re live from the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party of 2023 and are bringing you all the reviews on the party-exclusive snacks.
Not only that, we’re checking out all the entertainment, character meet and greets, and more. Come with us to Sleepy Hollow Refreshments for all of their special offerings!
There are two new treats at this spot that can only be bought during the party. The first is the Holiday Waffle Sundae, which is a house-made red velvet waffle topped with M&M’s chocolate candies, peppermint ice cream, and hot fudge for $7.79.
It is a great size — easily shareable with two or three people. The waffle fills up the whole plate! It was a very dark red velvet cake waffle with a good chocolatey flavor. Along with the chocolate syrup on top, we loved the minty, cool, peppermint ice cream. The ice cream melts quickly, since the waffle is hot, which makes it something you want to eat rather fast. The red and green candies on top are a fun addition and add an extra texture and crunch.
You can also grab the Milk and Cookies for Santa, which is a brown sugar cookie cake topped with chocolate chip cookie dough mousse, milk mousse, and chocolate chip cookies for $6.49.
This one is definitely a single serving — not something we’d share. The portion size seems a bit pricey for what you get compared to the waffle sundae. It has a milk mousse on the top that really does taste like milk, along with a brown sugar cake in the center, and on the bottom is a chocolate chip cookie dough mousse.
Altogether this tastes rich and decadent — like a grown-up version of eating raw cookie dough. The cookies on top are nothing special. The cake has a really light texture and the brown sugar flavor is very enjoyable. It’s the best part of the dish.
