The Disney Parks, Experiences and Products (a.k.a. “DPEP”) division of The Walt Disney Company has been renamed just Disney Experiences.
Disney Experiences
The name change was official as of November 16, 2023. The Disney Experiences website (disneyconnect.com) now reflects the name change and states, “Disney Experiences brings the magic of Disney stories and franchises to life through theme parks, resorts, cruise ships, unique vacation experiences, products and more around the world.”
Parks, Experiences, and Products are now listed as three separate tabs on the website, which features looks at Disney Experiences offerings and programs such as the new World of Frozen land at Hong Kong Disneyland and the BD droid playtest in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland. A Google search does uncover the old version of the website still using some of the “DPEP” nomenclature.
Earlier this year, a few months after Bob Iger returned as CEO, The Walt Disney Company reorganized into three segments: Disney Entertainment, ESPN, and (at the time) Disney Parks, Experiences and Products.
Disney Experiences encompasses Disney Parks, Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI), Disney Consumer Products, and more. Josh D’Amaro is the Chairman of Disney Experiences. Other leadership includes Barbara Bouza as President of WDI, Bruce Vaughn as Chief Creative Officer of WDI, Lisa Becket as Executive Vice President of Global Marketing, Jill Estorino as President and Managing Director of Disney Parks International, Ken Potrock as President of Disneyland Resort, and Jeff Vahle as President of Walt Disney World Resort.
