The release of “A Special Edition of 20/20 – Disney 100: A Century of Dreams” offered the first look at an indoor show scene for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Show Scene
The preview showed Imagineers within the attraction’s show building. Like Splash Mountain, part of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be outdoors as well.
The scene shown depicts a ramshackle cabin amid a field of foliage with a night sky in the background. It was not clear which location the special was filmed at, given that the ride is coming to both the Magic Kingdom and Disneyland.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
The reimagining of Splash Mountain into a “The Princess and the Frog” attraction at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World was announced in 2020, and the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure name was revealed in 2022.
The attraction will pick up after the events of “The Princess and the Frog.” In 1927, Tiana founded the Tiana’s Foods co-ops, which is located in a salt mine, where cultivators grow crops along the waters. During Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, Tiana and alligator Louis venture into the bayou to find animal friends. They’re preparing a special Mardi Gras celebration for the people of New Orleans.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will feature 17 new characters, including Prince Naveen’s younger brother, Ralphie. The Splash Mountain track will remain, but the attraction will get new set dressing and new audio-animatronics. There will be multiple Tiana audio-animatronics, and she will sport a new adventuring outfit.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is scheduled to open at Magic Kingdom and Disneyland in late 2024. Check out our most recent construction update from Disneyland and our latest from Magic Kingdom here.
