Guests can enter Disney’s Hollywood Studios as early as 7 p.m. ET and must present valid Disney Jollywood Nights tickets to receive their event credential and wristband.
The wristband can be different colors depending on the week that you attend. The first week’s wristband was this soft green color with white lettering. For the second week of the event, the wristband was gold with white lettering.
The commemorative event credential comes on a soft green lanyard, with a rectangular pass attached that includes the Disney Jollywood Nights logo and event year.
At 7 p.m., guests without a wristband and credential are escorted out of the park, and only guests with such proof of admission are allowed to remain inside.
For Disney Jollywood Nights, you can check-in to the event at the following locations:
- Mickey Shorts Theater
- Star Wars Launch Bay
- Muppet*Vision 3D
If you’re not entering the park early, you can also get your credentials at the park entrance.

Disney PhotoPass Opportunities
Guests at Disney Jollywood Nights can capture their holiday looks with a few glamorous photo ops. Disney PhotoPass digital photos and videos from the event are included with your ticket, so you don’t have to make a separate purchase to access your photos.
Special photo experiences are marked on the Disney Jollywood Nights map with a shiny camera symbol.
During the event, a large neon Disney Jollywood Nights sign featuring Ollie the gingerbread man (an original character for the event) is at the front of Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The Studio Store in Animation Courtyard has been transformed into a photography studio featuring a camera array Magic Shot, plus holiday set dressing.
The robotic arm Magic Shot is in the Disney Junior Dance Party theater. There are two options with this Magic Shot: Slow-Glo or Celebrate.
Other PhotoPass photographers can take more standard Magic Shots, which place special images into your photos. Outside Theater of the Stars on Sunset Boulevard, where “Disney Holidays in Hollywood” is performed, a Magic Shot is available with Miss Piggy and Kermit in a stack of presents.
On Hollywood Boulevard, PhotoPass photographers have another present prop, which glows gold from the inside.
PhotoPass photographers are also stationed at other key locations, like in front of the Echo Lake Christmas Tree and at the Tip Top Club Twilight Soirée.
Entertainment
Character Meet and Greets
A number of characters are available to meet guests during the event — including some newly-added Disney friends.
Click here to see the regular lineup of meet and greet opportunities. Want tips on how to meet them all in one night — or at least try your best? Check out our guide.
Holiday Fiesta en la Calle
One of the entertainment offerings at Disney Jollywood Nights in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is Holiday Fiesta en la Calle. The festival takes over Commissary Lane outside ABC Commissary and features live musicians playing Latin holiday music.
The musical entertainment consists of a guitarist and vocalist across from ABC Commissary, and a live band near Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant.
There are no listed times for performances on the My Disney Experience app, so you’ll need to consult the event guide or ask a Cast Member during the event.
You can check out our photos here.
Jazzy Holidays at the Hollywood Brown Derby
During Disney Jollywood Nights, the Hollywood Brown Derby “transforms” into a smooth jazz joint, where guests can enjoy holiday music, craft cocktails, and an exclusive menu of light bites in a limited capacity environment.
After difficulties getting on the virtual walk-up list on the first night of the event, a new reservation procedure was put in place where tables are now first come, first served before moving to a mobile walk-up list.
In our experience, the entertainment offered at this experience is one lone piano player with minimal holiday décor. You can read our review here.
Twilight Soiree at the Tip-Top Club
This party brings the atmosphere of The Hollywood Tower Hotel’s famous Tip-Top Club to the courtyard, where a live band swings and sings jazz and holiday classics.
Guests can enjoy the vintage atmosphere, listen to the stylings of the “house” band, and try three pre-made cocktails exclusive to this offering.
You can check out our photos and video here.
‘What’s This? Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along’
“What’s This? Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along” is approximately 20 minutes long and is performed four times nightly at the Hyperion Theater. Performances are normally held at 8:30, 9:30, 10:30, and 11:30 p.m. on event nights, but be sure to check the guide map or My Disney Experience for the most up-to-date schedule.
This new show invites guests to sing along to songs from the classic stop-motion animated film, Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas.” Guests will meet two young adventurers, as well as see Oogie Boogie and the Jack Skellington puppet normally seen during Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Fireworks at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
See more photos and our full video of the show here.
‘Disney’s Holidays in Hollywood’
This all-new stage show, inspired by vintage Hollywood TV specials, is performed four times nightly during Disney Jollywood Nights. Guests can watch it at 8:45, 9:45, 10:45, and 11:45 p.m. in Theater of the Stars.
“Disney’s Holidays in Hollywood” stars Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Belle, Tiana, and special guests Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy of The Muppets.
You can watch our full video of the show and see our photos here.
Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! Fireworks Spectacular
Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ holiday nighttime spectacular, “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” returns for Disney Jollywood Nights. The fireworks and projection display is approximately 14 minutes long, and occurs at 12:30 a.m. on event nights.
“Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” debuted at Disney’s Hollywood Studios as a general nighttime offering in 2016. The spectacular returned with enhanced pyro in 2017 and was again performed in 2018 and 2019. Its Disney Jollywood Nights-exclusive return on November 11 marks the first showing of the display since January 5, 2020.
The show features Lanny and Wayne from “Prep & Landing” as they help Santa Claus deliver gifts around the world. Things go awry when Santa is not in his office, and the duo sets out to find him. On their journey, Lanny and Wayne travel through holiday moments from Disney films, all brought to life on the façade of the park’s Chinese Theater.
You can see our photos and video of the show here.
