A lawsuit has been filed against Universal Orlando Resort after a woman fell from Caro-Seuss-el in Universal Islands of Adventure.
Caro-Seuss-el Lawsuit
According to WFLA, the woman fell when dismounting a Caro-Seuss-el “beast” on June 14, 2022. According to the lawsuit, she sustained “severe personal injuries” that are “permanent and continuing in nature and [the woman] will suffer the losses and impairment in the future.”
The lawsuit accuses Universal of negligence, claiming they “should have known that a dangerous condition and/or falling hazard existed within the park.” According to the suit, no signs warned about the possibility of falling. The plaintiffs also allege that Universal is responsible for “damages and injuries sustained by business invitees within the park resulting from its own independent negligence.”
Caro-Seuss-el is a Dr. Seuss-inspired carousel in the Seuss Landing section of Universal Islands of Adventure. It features strange, colorful Seuss creatures instead of real-life animals like horses. The ride’s roof was replaced last year.
