With a year left for the projected late 2024 opening, crew members working on the new Disney Vacation Club Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort have laid down the first coat of paint.

On our previous visit, we noticed that nearly all of the glass sliding doors had been put in place. Now, a new milestone has been reached as white paint or primer has been added to the right side of the tower.

If the end result stays true to the original artist’s rendering, this “white paint” is likely a primer coat, as the rendering shows the building to be a beige color with subtle designs and wooden accents added throughout.

On the left side, additional glass sliding doors have been added to the top to levels. They were not there on our last visit.

Looking through the glass doors of the central building, you can see that much work is left to be done on the rooms of the hotel.

From what we can see so far, the structure of the building looks quite similar to the artist’s rendering.
