It’s been nearly two years since construction began on, presumably, an expanded seating area behind Woody’s Lunch Box in Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and a year since a mysterious concrete structure appeared between the restaurant and Toy Story Mania. In September 2023, the structure was finally painted to look like a box for a “Cowboy Cookin’ Set.”
Cowboy Cookin’ Set Structure
In early 2022, this land was cleared of props. The new structure is reportedly a prep kitchen.
The wall facing the exit queue of Toy Story Mania features images of the toys inside: franks, a ladle, beans, a coffee pot, cups, jerky, and fire are pictured.
The wall facing Woody’s Lunch Box is now fully visible. “Cowboy” is spelled out with a rope, while “Cookin’ Set” is printed below that.
The words are set against a rocky desert, with a covered wagon and cacti.
On the far right is a cowboy figure dressed in brown.
Sticks in front of the cowboy likely create a cooking space.
The cowboy is pictured in profile.
Woody’s Lunch Box is a quick-service restaurant that opened alongside Toy Story Land in June 2018. It serves grilled cheese sandwiches, turkey sandwiches, “totchos,” and a BBQ brisket melt. It’s known for its “Lunch Box Tarts,” Disney’s answer to Pop-Tarts. Raspberry is usually served year-round, while seasonal flavors include the hot chocolate lunch box tart available during the holidays.
The dining options at Toy Story Land expanded in March 2023 with the opening of Roundup Rodeo BBQ. Read our full review of the restaurant here.
