Eighteen-inch hand-pulled candy canes have returned to Disneyland Resort for another holiday season. This iconic Disney treat is a tradition that dates back to 1968.
Hand-Pulled Candy Canes at Disneyland Resort
The candy canes are available on the following dates at these locations:
- Disneyland Park: Candy Palace on December 3, 5, 10, 12, 17, 19, and 24
- Disney California Adventure: Trolley Treats on December 4, 6, 11, 13, 18, 20, and 25
A mobile waitlist system is used. Guests can join this waitlist with their name and phone number. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee they will be able to purchase a candy cane as quantities are limited. If they can purchase, Disney will send a text message with a return time.
The mobile waitlist system was introduced years ago in an attempt to answer demand, assure quantity, and quell long waits. Wait times fluctuate based on park attendance and demand; in 2021, it took roughly two hours for us to be called back to Trolley Treats at Disney California Adventure after joining the waitlist.
We joined the waitlist at 9 a.m. on December 3 this year and unfortunately were never called. We did receive a text at 12:30 p.m. stating that the virtual waitlist had concluded, so we knew we didn’t have to stick around.
We still checked out the situation at Candy Palace, where there is a short in-person queue in addition to the virtual waitlist.
Cast Members have flyers with information about distribution.
The flyers have artwork of Mickey and Minnie enjoying Christmas on the back.
Candy Canes are $21.99 each. Guests are limited to one per day.
