After getting a new coat of paint late last month, rolling planters and scrim have gone up around one side of Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Liberty Square at Magic Kingdom.
Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe Construction
Heading around to the right side of the main entrance, we spotted rolling planters set up.
Coming around the corner, we saw that the entire back side of Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe had been blocked off with rolling planters.
In addition, the yellow-white exterior wall slats have been covered by scrim, both on this main wall and the gabled overhang off to the right.
The scrim itself is a yellow-white color, matching the building’s usual exterior.
We also noticed this black material peeking through the scrim.
Looking underneath the gabled roof, you can see what seems to be blue painter’s tape beneath the scrim.
It’s possible that this section of the wall is just being repainted.
At the time of writing, the store is still operating under its usual hours while this apparent refurbishment is taking place.
Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe is a merchandise location in Liberty Square at Magic Kingdom, where guests can celebrate Christmas year-round with all sorts of ornaments, stockings, and more available for purchase. Currently, it is open from 9 a.m. to park close, but you can check the latest operating hours for the shop on the official Walt Disney World website.
