After years of being turned off, the underwater effect has been restored to a screen “skylight” in the SeaBase section of The Seas With Nemo & Friends Pavilion at EPCOT.
SeaBase Underwater Effect
The round skylight screen is on the ceiling outside the Ocean Life exhibit.
It’s now illuminated with an effect that makes it look like the SeaBase is actually under the sea.
The effect had been off for over three years, at least.
Our photo from January 2020 below shows the skylight turned off and in darkness.
The exterior of The Seas With Nemo & Friends was also recently refurbished, including a new roof paint job resembling the pavilion’s original 1980s roof. Cast Members of The Seas and Journey of Water Inspired by “Moana” have new environmentally-friendly costumes.
What do you think of this effect finally returning to The Seas? Let us know in the comments.
