Disney guests have made the nice list again this year, and Gideon’s Bakehouse has brought back the festive holiday menu: the Kris Kringle and Krampus cookies have returned.
This month’s collectible menu features the jolly old elf with a young Krampus kid sitting on his lap. The two are painted in a color palette and with framing reminiscent of Norman Rockwell’s classic holiday art, appropriately chosen for the festive season.
Kris Kringle – $6
A complexly flavored white chocolate coffee bean cookie
This cookie is delicious. It tastes like a sugar cookie but with a plethora of white chocolate chips.
There’s a definite crunch from the sprinkles and the coffee taste is prominent. It balances the sweetness of the white chocolate. They complement each other well without either being overpowering.
Gideon’s Bakehouse cookies are always well-baked and soft.
We definitely recommend the Kris Kringle cookie.
Krampus – $6
The darkest chocolate with a blast of cooling Andes Mint
The base of this tastes like the standard Gideon’s chocolate cookie with mini-chocolate chips. They do not skimp on the Andes Mints, however.
Both the chocolate and the mint are very strong flavors.
We think there is mint baked into the dough. Despite the powerful mintiness, it’s still an awesome treat.
We really enjoyed the Krampus cookie and recommend it for guests who love chocolate and mint together.
