After three days of testing at Disneyland Park, the new Disneyland Paris park reservation verification system will reportedly launch tomorrow at Walt Disney Studios Park, streamlining how guests enter.
New Automated Park Reservation Verification System Reportedly Launching Tomorrow
Reports indicate that guests will now simply scan their ticket once at the turnstiles to enter, no longer needing to first have their reservation verified on a mobile device by a physical Cast Member a few steps ahead of that entry scanner. If there is a park reservation linked to the ticket, the gate will open automatically. If a guest does not have a valid reservation, a red message will reportedly be displayed on the Cast Member’s screen. This should be considerably faster than the current process.
Disneyland Paris enacted the park reservation system in July 2020, when the parks reopened after their COVID-19 shutdown. In June 2021, Annual Passholders were restricted to holding only three park reservations at any given time. In June 2022, a waitlist was created for Annual Passholders who couldn’t get reservations on the day they wanted.
Most recently, a new Annual Pass program, the Disneyland Pass, was launched at the resort this summer.
Other Changes at Disneyland Paris
The overhaul to the Disneyland Paris reservation system is just one small change in a sea of larger changes happening around Disneyland Paris. The Disneyland Hotel, opening at the end of January, is getting some theming, soft goods, and other finishing touches.
Disneyland Paris shared a behind-the-scenes video about the development of the new A Million Splashes of Color parade and show, which will debut on February 10, 2024 as part of the Symphony of Colors celebration.
Disneyland Paris has released new concept art and details for the Disney Electrical Sky Parade, a drone show coming in 2024 as part of Symphony of Colors. The show will be inspired by the Main Street Electrical Parade, an iconic Disney Parks entertainment offering.
The Partners statue was removed from Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris at the end of October during ongoing construction outside Studio 1. Construction walls went up in early October, blocking the view of the Partners statue.
