We’re SO excited about what 2024 is going to bring to Disney World. New year, new STUFF!

We’re getting new food at The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers and Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs over at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort. We’re even getting a brand new attraction, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which we’re getting even MORE excited about. Why? Well, we check out construction on the new ride every day, and most recently, it’s looking A LOT different.
So Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will take place after the events of The Princess and the Frog. Tiana has opened her restaurant, Tiana’s Palace, and she’s throwing a Mardi Gras Party for the people of New Orleans. But she needs a “key ingredient,” and that’s where YOU come in. You’ll join Tiana and Louis on a musical adventure through the bayou.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be taking over the old Splash Mountain attraction, and it’s starting to look a lot less like Splash Mountain and a lot more like Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. For example, Splash Mountain’s exterior was all red rock/dirt.

Well, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is set in a Louisiana bayou, which means it needs to be more green, and that’s exactly what we’re starting to notice with the construction. Recently, even MORE greenery has been added to the exterior of the ride.

There’s a lot of scaffolding around the front now, too, where they’re touching up the outside of the attraction. You’ll notice some flowers dotting some of that greenery, too. It’s starting to look SO different from Splash Mountain.
A closer look
It’s been really exciting watching the ride take shape, and we can’t wait to see MORE, although we’ve still got about another year before it opens in late 2024. We’ll be keeping an eye on construction and sharing any other big changes we spot. So stay tuned to DFB for more.
