Universal Orlando Resort has announced that Universal Volcano Bay water park will be temporarily closed due to inclement weather in Central Florida.
Universal Volcano Bay Temporarily Closing
The water park will be closed on Saturday, December 16 and Sunday, December 17 as a result of impending weather conditions. The announcement was made via Universal Orlando Resort’s official X account (formerly Twitter).
Heavy rainfall, possibly two to three inches, is expected all weekend with possible thunderstorms and wind gusts up to 35 miles per hour.
This isn’t the first time that Volcano Bay has closed this winter season due to weather conditions. The water park previously shuttered on November 23 and 24, as well as this past Monday, December 11.
Inclement weather has also affected Walt Disney World Resort, which also announced today that it would be closing Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park for the weekend.
