Did you know certain items are banned from Disney World?
Yes, there are more obvious banned things like weapons, attire with offensive language, and bringing alcohol into the parks, but there are some unusual items as well that you may have no idea about. Here are three items that are banned from Disney World, and what you can bring instead!
Glass Containers
While bringing food into the Disney parks is absolutely okay, you cannot bring it in glass containers. The only exception to this rule is glass baby food containers and glass baby bottles. Otherwise, no glass containers are allowed due to safety reasons. So what should you bring instead? We suggest Foldable Silicone Food Storage Containers!
Not only are these great because the come in a pack of 4, but since they’re collapsible, you can either bring them full, and collapse them to make more room in your bag after you eat, or you can bring them empty and carry out leftovers from a restaurant (yes, that is allowed)!
Plastic Straws
While no Disney security guard will come after you if they see you with a plastic straw (unless you’re in Animal Kingdom, then you may want to watch out), you won’t see them anywhere in Disney World. This is because Disney is committed to being a greener park. If you’re not a fan of the paper straws they have (which we totally get), you can put some Reusable Silicone Straws in your bag instead.
This pack comes with 12 straws of various colors (you can match them to your outfit, HELLO FASHION!) as well as four different carrying cases for them. If you don’t need all of them in the parks, you can bring one in your park bag, keep one in your purse, another at the hotel, and one in your car so you’re never without them!
Large Coolers
While you can bring food into the parks with you, any suitcases, bags, coolers, or backpacks, with or without wheels, larger than 24″ long x 15″ wide x 18″ high are not allowed in the Disney parks. But what if you’ve got things that need to stay cold? Then grab yourself the SPARTER Backpack Cooler!
This bag is small enough to be brought into the parks, is waterproof, has 20 hours of retention time, and has two insulated compartments and multiple pockets. Not only can it carry your food, but it can hold your water bottle too, which is VERY important.
Tripods
Yes, even though you’ve seen so many videos from Disney World, tripods are not allowed in the parks. Full size ones, that is. You are allowed to bring small ones like the TONEOF 60″ Cell Phone Selfie Stick Tripod.
This thing is actually super cool and handy. Yes, it can hold your phone steady while you film, but it also comes with a bluetooth remote that allows you to control when you start and stop filming without having to leave your spot. We love adaptive technology!
We’re always here to bring you the latest and greatest gadgets to help ease your Disney World trip, so stay tuned to DFB!
