Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD) lawyers updated a previous notice of deposition to include more questions about Disney’s connection to the Reedy Creek Improvement District (RCID).
CFTOD Updates Deposition with More Questions About Disney and RCID
The notice is part of the District’s state lawsuit against Disney over the company’s final Development Agreements with RCID. The District’s lawsuit was filed soon after Disney filed suit against the Board and Governor Ron DeSantis.
The updated notice asks for information about “Disney’s efforts to control and success in controlling the RCID” and “the benefits financially and otherwise to Disney of the RCID structure.”
The deposition also includes questions about the selection of the RCID Board, various land contracts, theme park tickets and discounts available to RCID employees (which the CFTOD replaced with a stipend), and more about the Development Agreements.
Disney recently filed a motion to compel discovery after the District failed to hand over documents Disney states are necessary for their case.
